Elliott James, Prosecutor Orleans Parish – From the Chronicles of America’s Dumbest Criminals
FLORIDA: How mad must you be to shoot your boyfriend? Pretty darn mad. Even madder if he’s hooked up to a dialysis machine in the hospital. According to witnesses, Shemira Hargrove, 32, shot her boyfriend point blank in the stomach following an argument while he was undergoing dialysis treatment in the hospital.
“[A] lady walked in and shot the man while [he was] on the table,” said one witness.
Hargrove apologized telling WFTV that she was sorry, as she was being led out of Orlando police headquarters.
“He hurt me. I apologize. OK?” said Hargrove.
Actually, it’s not OK. There are laws against it. Hargrove has been charged with attempted murder. This gun-toting girlfriend is now in jail, while her boyfriend, er, ex-boyfriend is recovering from surgery.

PENNSYLVANIA: Police officers are regularly punched, slapped, spat at, and bitten. But in North Strabane Township, Pennsylvania, criminals throw their dentures. The denture throwing defendant was not too pleased when a good Samaritan parked her car in his driveway to help a victim of a car crash. According to authorities, 71-year old William Moody was on his way to dinner and was blocked in for ten minutes. Moody was so angry, he screamed at the Samaritan, pushed, shoved and cursed police. To get out of being handcuffed, he even faked a heart attack. He was finally taken into custody and at the police station, threw his dentures at the officers. Moody is facing charges for terroristic threats and aggravated assault.
Now that’s gum biting mad.
