MISSOURI: Lyn Mitchell of Mitchell County, Missouri has found three cows on her ranch mutilated and she believes aliens are to blame. Each cow had body parts cut off, such as tongues, ears, udders and reproductive organs.
The first cow was attacked in 2011. Its tongue and ears were gone. On July 9, she found a dead cow with a mysterious char mark outlining its desecrated body. On July 19, she found another with its heart removed and teats cut off. Mitchell said she saw no blood despite the wounds. The local veterinarian had no answers but told Mitchell that the cuts were extremely precise, almost surgically so.
Faced with having found three of her cows, all female, all with their tongues removed, and two with missing reproductive organs dead on her farm, Mitchell is searching beyond the worldly for answers. If not teens or other animals, what else could have killed the cattle but extraterrestrials? Mitchell says all the normal explanations have been debunked. ‘The more it happens, the more questions you get.’
Even police are not ruling out the bizarre alien attack theory. Robert Hills, Henry County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy said, “We couldn’t see any signs of trauma, and it doesn’t appear that there was any type of wild animal, such as coyotes, that were involved. . . We’re just not able to determine what the cause of death is at this point.”
Discovery News, however, raises the possibility that the cows were mutilated, not by aliens, but by natural predators like vultures, crows, maggots and blowflies. Carrion-eaters will often eat soft tissue first. The site also notes that “in many cases, what has been described by ranchers and others as cuts with ‘surgical’ precision turned out to be ordinary decomposition.” But wouldn’t the vet be able to identify ‘ordinary decomposition?’
As for Mitchell, aliens remain at the top of the list of suspects in the mysterious cattle attack on her farm.
