FLORIDA: A 17-year old girl was attacked and robbed at a bank ATM in central Florida but couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw the robber’s identity. Blair McCarron told deputies that she was returning to her car after withdrawing money from the ATM when her attacker grabbed her from behind and smashed her face into the steering wheel. She said the mugger threatened to kill her and steal everything she owned. In that moment, McCarron turned around and recognized her attacker. Wait for it – it was her friend’s mother.
Realizing the jig was up, 45-year old Tammy Perras ceased the pounding she rendered McCarron and claimed – it was all a ‘joke.’ McCarron gave Perras $5 and Perras fled the scene but was soon tracked down by deputies.
Perras’ denied the robbery attempt but the evidence against her was overwhelming. The $5 bill was recovered from her bra and she could not, try as she might, explain how McCarron got the bruises on her forehead.
In the end, the ‘joke’ was on Perras who was taken into custody and charged with aggravated child abuse, burglary with assault and robbery.
