GEORGIA: Weave thieves struck for the third time in six months at a local Georgia beauty supply store. This time stealing nearly $4,000 in Brazilian hair. The store owner said the thieves wanted the hair so badly they used some sort of tool to cut through the double layer steel door of the store. “At first we thought it was a blowtorch,” she said. The door is so mangled it looks like someone used a can opener on a can of tuna. The thieves are captured on video yanking Brazilian hair from the store’s shelves.
Hair thieving appears to be on the rise. Last year, weave thieves broke into a beauty supply store in Los Angeles making off with a bounty of between $40,000 and $50,000 in hair. The burglars used chains attached to their car to rip the doors off the store.
These brazen thieves are sending hair raising terror throughout the beauty supply community.
