LOS ANGELES: Grimacing, sharp-toothed, red-eyed goblins painted along a retaining wall is what Chris Brown calls art. It’s that “scary” artwork that has neighbors in the Hollywood Hills community so upset. “There are lots of babies, lots of children, and they’re literally frightened. It’s like devils on the wall – big scary eyes and big scary teeth,” said Patti Negri, president of the Hollywood Dell Civic Association. “The whole vibe is not what we’re used to.”
Under city ordinances, it’s illegal to create murals on most private properties. The complaints against Brown’s hideous art didn’t fall on deaf ears. L.A. city code officials cited the singer $376 for unpermitted and excessive signage.
Geragos alleges neighbors are harassing Brown, and have also made parking complaints about him and called animal control.
This Grammy winning musician has been accused of many things. Being a nice guy, however, has never been one of them.
