A grandmother in Georgia was arrested for threatening an eleven year old who allegedly bullied her grandson. She is quoted as saying: “I pointed my finger to him, I said, ‘you let me tell you something. You keep your hands off my child.’ And then I said, ‘If you mess with him, I will mess you up – your momma and your whole generation.’”
She claimed she was out of options in bringing attention to the matter. She was charged with disrupting a public school and disorderly conduct.
It’s no doubt that bullying has become a national crisis. States have enacted anti-bullying laws and schools have created initiatives through education and other programs to fight the epidemic.
But here’s a grandmother who feels quite comfortable in taking the law into her own hands and creating her own initiative to stop bullying: Storming the school and confronting the bully head on.
Did she go too far?
